The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
